New England, 1720

Fleeing a massacre, Thomas, Elizabeth and the crippled John Sikes lead a group of Colonists through the endless woods.  Lost, starving, and near death, they stumble across a miracle:

A completely empty town called God's Acre that stands as if waiting for them.

The town offers a new beginning for all but the resentful Sikes, who watches as the others shut him out.  But before long, Sikes discovers the town's secret.

A fungus: healing, strengthening, and very addictive.

As he offers this new hope, Sikes gains power in the town.  This shift in power unearths the true horrific nature of God's Acre, and reveals the madness and hunger lurking in the hearts of the Colonists.
